SECRETS OF OLD AND NEW HAVANA

June and July 2017

Tour old Havana's architectural splendors and immerse yourself in the classic and contemporary, arts and music of this vibrant capital city.

Sample Day

Start your day with a fresh breakfast prepared by your own personal cook. Head out with your private guide to Finca Virga, "Lookout Farm", built in 1886. It was once Ernest Hemingway's primary resident in Havana and where he wrote both For Whom the Bell Tolls and Old Man and the Sea. Inspire your own literary creation by touring the Hemingway museum that now occupies the space and his fishing boat Pilar. Enjoy lunch in a local paladar, trying out classic Cuban dishes such as Ropa Vieja or a ceviche with freshly caught fish. In the afternoon, experience the sound and spectacle of Habana Compas Dance, a musical group that merges the spirit of traditional Spanish dances with Afro-Cuban rhythms and contemporary dance. Finish the day by relaxing or getting ready for an optional evening outing to the Tropicana or another of Havana's famous nightclubs.
